Welcome to the event page for the upcoming team-based Phantasy Star Universe Tournament: The Great Gurhalian Cup!
This winter, teams of five GUARDIANS will compete for fame, glory, and some sparkling gold medals as they race for the title of fastest in Gurhal!
When: The event will run from Nov. 24th – Dec 18th.
Where: The tournament will take place in S and S2 difficulty missions throughout Gurhal.

Many will enter, but only the best teams will find themselves advancing to the final rounds of the tournament. If your team has the strategy, skill, equipment, and a bit of luck, then you could walk away with a number of exclusive prizes!

Event Schedule:
Nov 24th: Registration Begins. Team leaders can now register their team in the Great Gurhalian Cup Forum! (Located on the <a href="http://boards2.sega.com/psu_board/index.php">PSU Message Boards.</a>)
Dec 1st: Round I begins! Teams must schedule a time to meet with opponents and confirm this with the GM team.
Dec 8th: Round II Begins
Dec 11th: Quaterfinals Begin
Dec 15th: Semifinals Begin
Dec 17th: Tournament Finals
Players will be able to follow each server’s progress weekly, and check out updated brackets to see if your team has advanced or been eliminated, via our PC/PS2 and 360 Tournament Brackets.
Rules:
- The first 32 teams to register (per server) will be entered in the tournament.
- All team members must be level 100+.
- Each team must include at least one Techer (Fortetecher or Acrotecher) and one of the following: Wartecher, Guntecher, or Protranser.
- Scape dolls are not allowed. Only the team’s techer(s) may revive fallen teammates. Each Acro and Fortetecher is allowed three scape dolls per round, but must sit out the round if they die without a scape doll, and their team must continue without the option to revive members.
- If all members of a team are defeated, that team is disqualified.
- Team members must use the same characters / classes through the entire tournament.
- Game Masters will be present in each round to ensure that all teams race fairly and abide by the tournament rules.
- Players may only be part of one team, and may not use alternate accounts to enter in a second team.
